iFLUX has received an outstanding evaluation for its EIC-funded project advancing groundwater monitoring solution, iFLUX Sensing Solutions.

iFLUX proudly shares the results of the technical report received in February regarding its groundwater monitoring network solution: iFLUX Sensing Solutions. The jury was unanimous in its assessment: "The project has fully achieved its objectives and milestones for the period."

"The project has delivered excellent results with significant potential and already an immediate impact in the (drinking) water sector providing an innovative and well-integrated solution to groundwater management of water utilities," states the executive summary of the report.

In the evaluation, iFLUX received specific praise for three key aspects:

  • The uniqueness of the solution and novel approach to measuring groundwater dynamics in real-time
  • The dashboard that integrates proprietary flux sensor data, publicly available data (ie: weather, tidal movements), client-specific data (ie: pumping speeds, infiltration volumes), and site-specific characterizations (ie: ground composition), ultimately enabling improved management of groundwater systems
  • The real-time flux sensor that measures groundwater direction and velocity which can be combined with various other measurement methods to create a single integrated monitoring network.

Christian Montag, Managing Director of iFLUX, expresses his satisfaction: "I'm particularly pleased that we received high marks for the integrability of our solution. We can combine our patented flux sensor with other measurement methods to offer customers a complete solution—a comprehensive picture of what is happening in the subsurface. This complete overview is then displayed in our user-friendly dashboards."

The European support through the EIC grant has enabled iFLUX to implement several successful projects for water utilities in the Netherlands and Belgium. These collaborations confirm the practical value of the technology in the drinking water sector.

"This is the cherry on top—proof that we're on the right track and offering a solution to our customers, primarily water utilities, to better and more proactively manage their groundwater resources through data-driven insights," says Montag. "Measure, monitor, and manage groundwater. Every day our team puts forward their best effort to make this a reality."

This marks the second major recognition for iFLUX this year. In February, we also won the prestigious Aqualia Innovation Award for the same solution during WEX Global, a worldwide conference for water decision-makers.
